4:00-6:00 Girls & Boys currently taking ballet classes with at least 4 years previous ballet training
Ages 12 and up, Height 5'8" and under

6:00 – 7:00 Girls & Boys currently taking ballet classes with at least 2 years previous ballet training
Ages 8-12, Height 4'9"-5'6"

7:00 – 8:00 Girls & Boys currently taking ballet classes with at least 2 years previous ballet training
Ages 8-12, Height under 4'9"

Call Backs
All dancers called back need to return at 8:15 p.m.

If needed, dancers should be prepared to stay for more than one audition
All dancers must be age eight (8) by October 3, 2014

First Rehearsals (MANDATORY) at the Detroit Opera House: 
Saturday, Oct. 4 Between 10:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday, Oct. 5   Between 10:00am – 5:00pm
More specific times for each role/each day will be handed out at the audition

All following rehearsals will take place on Saturdays and/or Sundays
at the Detroit Opera House

Ballet Detroit will offer world-class Vaganova method classical ballet education in Detroit for the serious ballet dancer.  In the beautiful setting of the studios at the Detroit Opera House, acclaimed artistic director and ballet master Sergey Rayevskiy will work with the highest quality instructors and professionals from around the world to offer students the training, exposure and performance opportunities required to be a professional ballet dancer.

Mr. Rayevskiy has trained many world-class dancers including Patricia Zhou (Staats Ballet de Berlin), Precious Adams (English National Ballet), Portia Adams (San Francisco Ballet school), Airi Suzuki (Humburg Ballet school), Wilson Livingston (School of American Ballet), Isaak Jones (Eugine Ballet Company), Devin Tokarski (Ballet de Moines), Haley Schwan (Staats Ballet de Berlin), Kailey Kaba (Finnish National Ballet) and has students currently studying in ballet programs around the world, including Kirov Academy of Ballet, Vaganova School, Bolshoi School of Ballet and School of American Ballet. Admission and placement will be by audition on August 31,2014 at the Detroit Opera House.
