Each year, Michigan Opera Theatre presents opera, dance and educational activities to make a positive impact on the lives of people in metro-Detroit. However, the key to our success is the support we receive from the community that we serve.

Ticket prices cover less than half the expense of performance costs, so we must count on contributions to help us produce high-quality opera and dance performances at affordable prices. These gifts also ensure a strong future for MOT by funding education programs that reach out to the community, keep the arts in our children’s lives and help establish new audiences.

Five grand opera productions, four stunning dance productions, hundreds of classes taught, countless communities and schools visited, and thousands of people experiencing the cultural arts — this is what MOT will accomplish this year thanks to the generosity of our donors. Every single dollar we receive helps us offer a cultural arts experience to another person in this community.
