Lesson 4: Thinking and Writing about EQUALITY

Ask students to think about equality. Ask students the following questions:
Have you ever been in a situation where you didn’t feel equal to others?
Have you ever treated another person as if they were not your equal?
What would you do if others were not treating a friend equally?

Write a paper about Equality:

DRAFT  -- Ask students to pick a topic or select one from below. Ask students to write the topic of their paper on the top of their paper.

1. Write about a time when you were not treated as an equal.
How did it make you feel?

2. Write about a situation where you helped someone who was not being treated equally.

3. How have you escaped from a situation where you were not being treated equally?

4. Write about EQUALITY in your own way.
