 TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE 

The Detroit Opera House Ticket Office hours are as follows:

Non-performance weeks: Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Performance days: The ticket office will open two hours before curtain. This period is reserved for purchasing tickets to the day's performance, or addressing ticket-issues related to the day's performance, only.

Ticket Exchange

Tickets are non-refundable.

Subscribers may mail or fax their ticket exchange request at any time throughout the season, provided that a written request accompanying the VOIDED tickets is received no later than 48 hours prior to the date of the performance. Be sure to include the voided parking ticket. First exchange is processed free of charge. Any exchange thereafter is subject to a handling fee.

Non-subscribers have the option of presenting their tickets via US mail or in person, provided that a written request accompanying the VOIDED tickets is received no later than 48 hours prior to the date of the performance. Be sure to include the voided parking ticket, if any.

 

We regret that we cannot accept exchanges by phone.

Discounted Tickets

Performance Day Discounts (students & seniors)

Student and Senior Discount tickets are decided per show, per day, based upon availability. Should discounted tickets become available, they will go on sale 90 minutes prior to show time. Must have Valid ID for 1 discounted ticket per Senior (62 and up) and Picture School Id for 2 discounted tickets.

 

Special Student & Senior Rates

Student and senior dress rehearsals are a cost-effective way for student and senior groups to attend opera and dance performances at the Detroit Opera House. These special dress rehearsals of full Michigan Opera Theatre productions are available to student groups for $10 per student and to senior groups for $25 per senior.

Group Rates

A "group" consists of 15 or more people, attending the same performance on the same day and time, seated in the same price class. Groups may receive a discount of up to 25% off opera and dance performances. Policies and discounts may vary according to availability.

Will Call, etc.

Will Call

The Will Call window, located on the Broadway Street side, opens 90 minutes before the performance. If your "will call" tickets include prepaid parking, you may proceed first to the Parking Center. Policies and discounts may vary according to availability.

Prepaid Parking

Prepaid parking* in the Detroit Opera House Parking Center guarantees you a spot at the lowest possible price.

*Prepaid Parking must be purchased 72 hours prior to curtain, after which remaining parking spaces may be purchased directly from the parking attendant on a cash-only, first-come-first-served basis.

 

Seat Numbering

House-right seats are identified with even numbers: 102, 104, 106, etc. House-left seats are numbered odd: 101, 103, 105, etc.

 

Late Seating

Latecomers are seated during a pause in the program. Late seating policies are at the discretion of the production, not Opera House management.

 

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating locations for patrons in wheelchairs and those visibly impaired are located in all prices ranges on the orchestra level and other designated locations. If you require special accommodations, ask about these locations when inquiring about tickets.

 

Children

Children are welcome. Babies in arms are not permitted. All guests are required to hold a ticket, regardless of age.

 

Fees

Ticket purchases are subject to the following additional fees:

WEB: $10 per order processing fee

PHONE: *$5 per ticket phone-service fee

TICKETMASTER: *$8 – $14 (estimate) per ticket Ticketmaster fee

IN PERSON: No processing fee
