Yes, you read that right, Michigan Opera Theatre now has $15 tickets for currently-enrolled students at Macomb Community College, Wayne State University, The University of Michigan, Oakland University, the University of Detroit Mercy, and those associated or affiliated with an MOT Ambassador*! This incredible offer is available for the remaining opera and dance performances in the 2017-2018 season. Don’t worry, these aren’t nosebleed seats – you pick your own!

Here’s how this works:

  1. You are a currently-enrolled student with valid student ID under the age of 40
  2. Pick a show and date!
  3. Buy your tickets using code “STUDENT15”  (this is necessary and you’re limited to 2 tickets)

  4. Show up at least a half-hour before the performance and pick up your tickets at will-call (student ID required to pick up tickets.)
  5. Enjoy an incredible show!

The Summer King by Daniel Sonenberg

The Summer King tells the story of Negro Leagues baseball legend Josh Gibson, considered one of the greatest baseball players of all time. It’s a story of talent, heartbreak and one man’s journey to overcome prejudice and discrimination. MOT is proud to present this groundbreaking new work co-produced with the Pittsburgh Opera.
