Monday-Friday (non performance days): 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Performance weekdays: 10:00 a.m. through the first intermission of the evening’s performance
Performance weekends: Two hours prior to curtain

Ticket Exchange
Subscribers may mail or fax their ticket exchange request at any time throughout the season, providing that a written request accompanying the VOIDED tickets are received no later than 48 hours prior to the date of the performance. Be sure to include the voided parking ticket. First exchange is processed free of charge. Any exchange thereafter is subject to a handling fee.

Non subscribers have the option of exchanging tickets as well, for a $10 per ticket exchange fee, by presenting their tickets via US mail or in person. Simply submit a written exchange request accompanied with the VOIDED tickets you wish to exchange (be sure to include your parking ticket if any). Keep in mind that they must be received no later than 48 hours prior to the performance date shown on the tickets.

Exchange by Person:
Tickets may be exchanged at the Ticket office during normal business hours, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekends Vary.

Day of  Discounts
Day of Discount tickets are offered to seniors (62 and older) and students.  Seniors are offered 1 discounted ticket per valid ID and students may purchase up to two tickets per valid student ID.  These discounts are decided per show per day, based upon availability.  Should discounted tickets become available, they will go on sale 90 minutes prior to show time.

Special Student & Senior Rates
Special dress rehearsals of full Michigan Opera Theatre productions are available to student and senior groups at vast discounts.
Student admission: $10

Senior admission: $25

Group Rates
Groups rates are available at all opera and dance performances. Groups receive a discount up to 25%. A “group” consists of 15 or more individuals attending the same performance on the same day and time, seated in the same price class.

Will Call
The Will Call window, located on the Broadway Street side, opens 90 minutes before the performance. If your “will call” tickets include prepaid parking, you may proceed first to the Parking Center. Policies and discounts may vary according to availability.

Prepaid parking
Prepaid parking in the Detroit Opera House Parking Center guarantees you a spot at the lowest possible price.

Seat numbering
House-right seats are identified with even numbers: 102, 104, 106, etc. House-left seats are numbered odd: 101, 103, 105, etc.

Fees
Ticket purchases are subject to the following additional fees.

TICKETMASTER: $8 – $14 (estimate) per ticket Ticketmaster fee
IN PERSON: No fees

Late Seating
Latecomers are seated during a pause in the program. Late seating policies are at the discretion of the production, not Opera House management.

Accessible Seating
Accessible seating locations for patrons in wheelchairs and those visibly impaired are located in all prices ranges on the orchestra level and other designated locations. If you require special accommodations, ask about these locations when inquiring about tickets.

Children
Children are welcome. Babies in arms are not permitted. All guests are required to hold a ticket, regardless of age.
