A three-day celebration honoring David DiChiera's extraordinary accomplishment and fulfillment of his life-long dream to compose an opera and see it performed on stage.
Friday, October 12 at 6:00 p.m.
THE OPERA BALL
Michigan Opera Theatre's 20th annual Opera Ball will be presented in a grand tent on the grounds of the Detroit Opera House. The evening will officially kick off the Cyrano Festival Weekend and all of the event's elements will have a French theme.
Saturday, October 13 at 6:00 p.m.
CYRANO WORLD PREMIERE PERFORMANCE
AND GALA SUPPER
The Opening night performance will be followed by a Gala Supper at 9:30 p.m. in the Festival Tent. The celebratory evening feast will be attended by the Cyrano artists and many out-of-town guests and press.
Sunday, October 14 at 12 Noon
BRUNCH WITH THE ARTISTS
A relaxing brunch will be served in the Festival Tent for guests and Cyrano artists. Following the brunch, there will be a "question and answer" period for guests to ask David DiChiera and the artists questions about the opera.
